The Splash Healthy Reward Scheme is run at Five Elms Primary School

With Splash your child can earn incredible prizes for themselves and the whole family just by making healthy life choices.

The parents/guardians of every child between the ages of 5 and 11 who lives and studies in the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham is given a Splash Card by their child’s school when they first begin studying there.

A Splash card is a reward card, similar to a Tesco Clubcard - every time a child buys a healthy school lunch or take part in healthy positive activities they earn points on the card. These points can then be exchanged for fantastic prizes on the Splash Card website (www.splashcard.info), such as Toys R Us vouchers, mountain bikes and more.

How can my child earn points?

Children can claim their first prize with just 20 points! They earn points in the following ways:

Eating a healthy school meal – They earn 2 points every time they eat a meal at school, as all the meals provided by the Council’s Catering Service are nutritionally balanced. Not to mention yummy too.

Attending a Council-run facility – If they take their Splash Card whenever you go to Abbey Sports Centre, Becontree Heath Leisure Centre or Barking Splash Park, they will earn 10 points. Almost every physical activity in the borough is rewarded, whether they are going for a swim, taking part in a junior gym session or even going trampolining!!

Having fun at a Youth Session - They earn 10 points whenever they attend a youth session at The Vibe, Sue Bramley, Gascoigne Youth Centre or on the mobile StreetBase Youth Bus. Their card will be scanned on arrival.

Visiting a local library - They earn 5 points every time they take a book out from a local library. Just make sure to get their Splash Card scanned at the checkout desk

Watch a theatre show at The Broadway Theatre in Barking – By attending a selected theatre show they will earn 20 points. Just make sure they hand in their Splash Card at the box office when booking tickets or attending the show to get it scanned.

Vist Trewern Activity Centre in Wales - Is your child in Yr 5 or 6? Are they going with the school to Trewern to take part in a range of action packed activities from pond dipping to rock climbing? Ensure they take their Splash Card with them as there is an opportunity to earn over 30 points.

NB Children do not need their card on them to receive points for eating meals, but for all other activities their card must be scanned by the Council's card readers in order to earn points.

How can my child claim a reward?
To check how many points they have accumulated, log on to www.splashcard.info using their username and password. The username is the card number on the card and the password was attached to the card when you first received it. If your child has lost or can't remember their password, simply click on the link in the top right of the Splash website that says 'need help signing in?' and you will be able to reset their password. By clicking on the reward they want they can then exchange their points for prizes. Once you have claimed a prize it will be sent to your child’s school to be awarded.

For more information, please visit www.splashcard.info or alternatively, if your child has lost their card, please e-mail help@splashcard.info

The Splash Card scheme is run to support the children of the borough by Barking and Dagenham Council.
